Inspired by exposed clay at the water’s edge,
trails left by windswept pebbles,
and the overlooked delicacy of reed and sedge flowers.

The “Overlooked” collection pays homage to the little things. The uninviting mud we avoid, the reeds we curse for being in the way, the miniscule footprints of creatures we rarely see… all of them a playing an important if oft overlooked role in our lives.
Fresh botanicals are pressed gently into the damp clay and emphasised by hand painting with common soil components like iron oxides. Pieces are unglazed, to avoid covering over the beauty and variation in the clay body itself.
